Plant sale ABZ Seeds for charity: great fun

A nice and busy plant sale took place last Saturday, at ABZ Seeds. The plant buyers, from young to old, can enjoy their own home grown fresh strawberries all Summer long.

"We are happy that we could welcome people back to our site and have a nice chat with them. The click-and-collect plant sale last year went well, but this is much more fun! Also for us!" says Ilona Smith of ABZ Seeds.

Charity 'Vrienden van 't Keetje' Foundation

This time, the proceeds from the sale of the strawberry plants were intended for the 'Friends of 't Keetje' Foundation. The foundation is raising money for the 'Glass Home Room' project. This will be a growing-flowering-and-enjoying greenhouse where the clients of care farm 't Keetje (Lutjebroek) can stay 'outdoors', even when the weather is less than ideal.

Nice yield

The morning was very successful and there were positive reactions from both the plant buyers and the volunteers of the Friends of 't Keetje Foundation. The presentation of the check was also a festive moment: a nice amount of 1,780 euros had been raised for the Glass Home Room.

The ABZ Seeds team looks back on a fun day and is happy that they were once again able to contribute to a great charity in the region.
